Only Way Through It, Is To Do it with Karen Albert

Karen Albert is a classical singer (mezzo soprano) specializing in choral, oratorio and concert repertoire. Currently residing in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she graduated with master's degrees in both musicology and voice performance from Michigan State University and Central Michigan University. She has been featured as an alto soloist in works such as Handel’s Messiah, or Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. Her work also expands into choral ensembles, musical theater and opera.

In this conversation, we hear about Karen’s journey in this classical music world. Ranging from her thoughts on the industry such as being an advocate for utilizing local talent, to understanding the type of work best suited her lifestyle, to overcoming adversity.
