Timing is Everything with Nahshon Thomas

For this interview, I’m joined by professional drummer and podcast editor, Nahshon Thomas. Nahshon or @shondrums, who currently resides in Southern California specializes in both session work and live performance, and plays with notable artists such as Benjah and Zea Sy Classe.

In our conversation, we broke down Nahshon’s process when it comes to his craft. Through his experiences, he’s gained valuable understanding in picking the right moments, and practicing consistency in all aspects of his life. Nahshon shares his mindset when it comes to learning a new song and how he breaks down his responsibilities as the drummer. We also got into an interesting topic of timing, metronomes, and ultimately respecting the responsibility of keeping time. Finally, we also discussed how his work a drummer has also informed how he conducts himself as a podcast editor.

I have a great amount of respect for Nahshon and I really enjoyed our conversation, and I hope you do as well. Enjoy the episode!
